Meeting a grandchild for the very first time is an amazing moment to remember.  I arrived in Chicago on Saturday evening and couldn’t wait to see Maggie.  She is beautiful and absolutely precious!  As I held Maggie and studied that sweet face, I was reminded of her Dad at this age.  Right now, her eyes are blue and her hair is the color of her Mom’s.  However, those adorable little eyebrows look strawberry blonde, so time will tell.

Yesterday, her Mom and I did a “photo-shoot” with Maggie.  There’s a big bay window with tall windows in their Chicago apartment with a large, round oak table there.  So, we placed pillows and blankets on the table with Maggie in the middle of it all.  Halfway through, we changed her outfit.  We made silly faces to get her to smile and she actually giggled at us…or it sounded like a giggle to me.  We managed to get some adorable photos and had a lot of fun in the process – making memories with Maggie…

Maggie and her Mommy and Daddy…taken a day or so before leaving the hospital at her newborn photo session.

You can tell that Maggie, like her parents, is definitely an Indiana University fan!
